Provo River Falls was a last minute addition to our trip agenda.
It is a 1 hour and 40 minute drive but it was worth it.
It has three big waterfalls and lots of smaller ones that we rock climbed too.
It was such a great place.
The upper falls were seen right from the parking lot.
We got a full family shot
The middle falls were next
and a bunch of us climbed around in the super cold water. The weather is much cooler because you are high up in the mountains. You could see snow in some places.
The lower falls were just a few yards down stream but were a little trickier to get to.
Hayden loved climbing all the rocks and looking for more rocks with Nathan.
Later we hiked up stream to see several more waterfalls and one that came from a spring.
It was so nice there.
A short drive later we looked to hike to a lake. We couldn't find the one we were looking for so stopped at a different one. It was so cold by the lake that no one wanted to continue the hike.
there was tons of snow around this area and hayden loved it.
We did stop for a quick visit to Mirror Lake (the main one in the area). We were going to hike it but the others were too cold.
We stopped at an overlook for this nice view...
We also stopped to see some road side falls. We could have hiked closer to them but were too tired and still had a long drive home.
It was a fun day trip.
Here are the rest of the pics:
