5th Water

I have been wanting to go to 5th water in Utah since our first trip almost 10 years ago.  This  trip we finally did it and it did not disappoint.

5th water is about 2 hours from salt lake city.  It is a 5 mile round trip hike and you end up at hot springs and waterfalls.  You can sit in the hot pools and soak or cool off in the water fall areas.

Since it was a longer hike we left our kids at home.  I hope to take Hayden next time maybe.  It wasn't too bad of a hike. Some of  Our older nieces and nephews and mike's sister season came along.

The first area we came to was our favorite.  This is the lower falls.

It had 2 nice hot pools to sit in.  A lower...

and an upper one.

We got up early for this hike so we had the area to ourselves for a long time.  I mostly stayed in the lower pool.

Later we hiked to the middle falls.

These were much bigger.  There were some small hot pools.  But these weren't as clean on the bottom.  So I didn't spend as much time in them.

The falls had a hole in it.  You could climb behind it and stick your head out.  The water was really cold.

We also saw a snake here.

Later we hiked to the upper falls.

We passed 2 more nice soaking pools but there was a nude man in them so we quickly walked past.

We did make it to the upper falls.  They were big.

Later we hiked back to the lower falls since that was ours  favorite.  And enjoyed the area.  By this time all the areas were getting busy.  I am so glad we came early.

We eventually hiked back and started our drive home.  We did stop at the BYU creamery for a tasty hamburger and home made ice cream.  Yum
