Hayden enjoyed his first season of soccer. It is funny to watch him. He has a huge kick and seems to enjoy playing defense. He doesn't care that he doesn't score. If they lose the ball he just runs back towards the goal. Of course he doesn't really try to steal the ball, just runs back or beside the person :) But always with a smile on his face.
Before the game at kick off he growls at the other team and tells them they can't come over to his side of the field. One time he told a kid that he put a huge force field around this side and they can't come over. Such a super hero nerd!
This picture cracks me up. He is on the sideline saying something inappropriate I am sure. I see those annoyed lips all of the time at home.
He always wore his socks over his knees. Not sure why.
One game he did a back heal kick to get it away from his goal. He was so excited to do a "mommy trick".
He scored one goal this year on a big kick that just kept rolling. He was happy.
It was fun to watch him play and not have to coach. I never yelled at him. I just wanted him to have fun. If he chooses not to play soccer I am fine with it. Maybe he can pick a sport I know nothing about and I can just sit back and relax and watch.
If you check out this video you will see maybe he will play golf one day. Not sure he will have the patience though...
