He's Baaaaaack!

My happy boy is finally back. We had a great day today. Finally.
He played and crawled around all day.

He is also walking more and more. He has taken up to 9 steps at time. I will try to post video but the video camera is still broken so its hard to capture.

Missing!

Have you seen my happy little boy? If so let me know. And you can have the demon child that has taken his place!

A sick boy and visitor

This weekend Mike's Mom (Nana) flew into Pittsburgh to visit her friend. She spent the weekend with us. We had dinner, went shopping, and went to the flea market. She picked a good time to visit. Hayden had a fever the day before she came and wasn't feeling well. He is getting better but still a little under the weather. So my non-cuddly boy has been a good cuddler.

(my sick boy)

Hayden hasn't been sleeping well since he is sick. Poor boy just moans in the middle of the night. One night it was almost every hour. He never cries though. He is so tough. And he just goes back to sleep. so I never have to get him.

He hasn't been eating much and his poop is really runny. He has ruined several onsies the last few days. It is gross.

Mike got an ice cream maker on clearance and was so excited. He used it right away and made vanilla ice cream. It wasn't too bad. I want to make mint ice cream next time.

Just shoot me

This post will be depressing. If you don't like reading people whine then skip this. I try not to very often but feel the need to today.

This week has sucked. First I had a funeral to attend, that is never fun. A freshmen on my team, her mom died. It was very sad. We took the team to the funeral. The obituary is here: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09252/996551-122.stm
I have really been bothered by this.

Hayden has been sick this week. He will be so good and then all of the sudden is just so cranky. It was awful the other day. I was trying to make dinner and ended up burning my hand pretty bad. He wouldn't play or eat or anything. I almost lost my mind.

Per the post gazette my soccer team started the season ranked #5. That seemed about right. Boy was I wrong. I have almost my entire team back that finished in the WPIAL semi-finals and we are awful. They just don't seem to want work. How do you motivate teenage girls. I have punished them, did team bonding, talked to them, etc. On Friday I finally just got fed up and just left practice. I got in the car and drove home. They still didn't care. It is such a waste of my time. It makes me sad to think about all of the time I am dedicating to them and missing out on spending time with Hayden.

I hate my new supervisor type person. I feel so bad for Adam and his family. They deserve better. She hasn't even taken the time to come meet adam yet. It pisses me off.

Lack of sleep is also catching up to me. My back has really been hurting me so I don't sleep well anymore.

So anyways, I have cried probably at least 20 times this week. No joke. Sorry to all those who have had to listen to my whining and crying. I did take out some frustrations tonight running around and kicking the soccer ball. (2 goals too I might add).

Hayden at 9 months

Hayden has been busy speed crawling everywhere. He really has gotten much better at it. The hard wood floors don't seem to slow him down at all. He is climbing all over the furniture too. He wants to climb the wood burning stove/fire place so bad.

He also can take a push toy and walk on his own across the room without falling.

And he can stand on his own for a long time.

Now that he is mobile he plays well indepdently. It is nice to get a little break every now and then.

He loves music. He will clap and dance.

He will notice any wires and bolt for them. He loves wires.

He can wave to people.

For some reason he loves to hit his head. He will bang it off his high chair, the tub whatever. He will hit it with toys. If you tell him no, he just laughs and does it again. Even if you yell and look at him with a mean face. He is going to be so bad!

He is a screamer. He doesn't cry hardly at all. He has a shriek that pierces threw your chest. It is awful.

He bites. He has lots of teeth and they are sharp!

He has gotten his legs stuck in the crib many times. It is not a fun way to be woken up in the middle of the night.

Hayden will call Mike Dad and wave to him. It is cute. It is very high pitched. He should switch voices with Kennedy (hers is deep). By the way he wont' even try to say mom.

Funny story: Usually I bring hayden in the bathroom to play while I take a bath or shower. Well he is too mobile now and kept trying to get in the tub. So I let him come in. 2 seconds later he peed all over me! Then to top it off he wanted out and threw a hissy fit.

Team Bonding

I decided the girls needed some bonding time. No stress of practice just some time to be together and have fun. So today I took them some mint oreo truffles (Sooo good) and we played some games. I also made a big note card with each girls name on it. Then each girl had to write something nice about that girl on it. So everyone went home with a card that had 33 nice things about themselves on it. They loved it. It is a great idea for teams, sunday school classes, sleepovers, whatever.

My first day of kindergarten

Well I went back to school starting this week...to kindergarten. I am in the mecca of kindergartens at Quaker Valley (Sewickley). This school is sooooo nice. I have always liked Sewickley and now have a new reason to want to move there. I would love for Hayden to go to Osbourne Elementary. The school is incredible and the teachers are all so nice.

My first day was a little crazy...

*I had to find something nice to wear. I haven't had to dress nice for work in years. I have no dress pants that fit anymore. They just fall off b/c they are too big. So a skirt it was. Nothing like crawling around on the floor in a skirt.

*A nasty cockroach looking bug crawled on my bag. The school is immaculate, definately not dirty. But the bug was nasty.

*A little girl name Dahlia told me she doesn't want to say the pledge allegience b/c she already knows Jehova. I am assuming she was trying to tell me she was Jehova's Witness.

*Adam spilled orange juice on me.

*2 needy little girls clung to me all day. I am really not that inviting of a person but kids don't care. I tried to be nice b/c they were sad, but man they were annoying.

*I found out the annoying boy from Adam's Bible Camp is in his class. Ugh! The name Vincent is forever ruined for me. He needs his own TSS but family refuses.

Someone bit me, while trying to bite another kid. I just happened to be in the way.

It is a definatley a longer day for me, especially now that soccer started also. I go straight from kindy to soccer practice. I miss Hayden but know that he is in great hands. He loves being at Aunt Renee's and playing with his cousins.

On My 2nd and 3rd days:

*Above named Vincent was sent home he was so bad. But this was after he drank pancake syrup thru a straw at lunch and touched everyone with his sticky fingers. Including me. I didn't even know you could get sent home from kindergarten for bad behavior. It was nice to see a principal who actually was hands on. She came down from her office all day to see what he was up to. She is on the ball.

*I teared up a little watching the kid with cerebral palsy play on the playground. He is just the cutest boy ever. And so many of the kids make sure to go talk to him. It is so cute.

*Adam got mad b/c he didn't want to stand behind a girl in line and tried to kick her in the back. Luckily I stopped him in time. To take his anger out on me he kissed my arm. He thought that would make me mad.

*A little boy from Adam's daycare is in his class. Today he asked me if i was going to take a break to use my pump. He remembered me taking breaks in the spring. He is so funny.
