Beach Post #2

This vacation was one of my recent favorites.  I was actually able to relax.
I mentioned that there were 6 families.  All with kids our ages.  So the kids didn't need entertained the whole time.  They were always busy.

The beach was right past our pool.  So not major trek was needed.  Loved that.

Parents were stationed at the pool, in the house, and the beach so you could stay where you were if the kids wanted to go somewhere else.  They love to go back and forth which would have been annoying.  So I got plenty of relaxing beach time.

We had great weather.  It rained one morning and two nights when we were sleeping that was it.

The house had a pool table, lots of decks with great views, a  huge kitchen and a theater room.  The kids loved playing video games and watching movies on the big screen.

The pool was a very popular place.  Especially with the kids.  Hayden turned into a fish this trip and was swimming all of the time.  He has gotten so much better since his lessons ended.

Lots of jumping in was done...

It was nice to get some time in it with no kids and just relax.

The hot tub was nice.  Most of the time it was just too hot but we found some time to relax in it

We took our bikes and rode them a few times.

I usually ran in the morning.  Sometimes on the beach but mostly on the road.

Mike went golfing twice.

I mentioned that the beach was close.  That was awesome.  You could just leave your stuff and head in for lunch.  There weren't many people around us.

We got some professional photos taken.  I will post those later.  Here is a sneak peak from my phone.

We built sand castles.

And flew kites,

Played the washer game

Had water balloon fights

lit sparklers

had races

buried dads in the sand

went boogie boarding and so much more.

The water was very clear for being an Atlantic ocean beach.  I loved it.

I love just putting my chair in the sand and letting the tide come in.

Now Hayden loves that too.

I got to read two books this trip.  That was nice

We saw some dolphins one day.  People near said they saw some sting rays and some small sharks.  Thankfully we didn't.  There were two shark attacks after we left!

We ate lots of great meals.  I now love fish tacos!  We had fresh seafood brought to the house.  Shrimp, crab and mussels.  Sure was messy.

There are a ton of great places to eat.  None disappointed.

the house was stocked with tons of snacks.  the kids loved it.  Amelia constantly had cheese balls, starbursts, popsicles, you name it.  She is going to go through major with drawl!

We got lots of ice cream treats and some shaved ice.

And fresh, warm duck donuts.  so yummy.  I probably gained 10 lbs this trip.

We visited the sand dunes

We went at sunset.  Very pretty.

The kids loved flying their kites there.  It was perfect.

We visited the light house one day.  Hayden actually really enjoyed it.  His face in pictures does not show it of course.  He wants to go back and climb to the top.  (it was booked)

Overall it was such a great trip.  Hopefully we will be invited again.  The worst part is the drive home.  We did it all in one day.  10 hours.  And poor Hayden threw up one hour in.  Thankfully he was better after that.  The kids did so good on the drive.  I was surprised.
I already miss the beach.  Take me back!!!

Here are the rest of our photos:
