Idlewild

We went to Idlewild Park with some friends on a Friday.

We packed a picnic lunch and arrived early.  We ate yummy food from Grandma Barb.


Afterwards we headed to Story Book Forest.  The kids enjoyed running around seeing everything.



It was Christmas in July so Santa was there.  Amelia did not like him!!!


It was also Avengers Week.  We got to meet Spider Man and the Hulk.
 
Amelia hated the hulk and would not meet  him.

So Hayden met him by himself.


Then later we met Captain America and Thor.


We even happened to meet Thomas.
 

The kids enjoyed all of the kiddie land rides.

Amelia sprinted to this pink bumper car.  And screamed at a girl who came near it.  You have to push the gas down and steer so Amelia crashed into the wall and was stuck the entire time.  When the ride stopped she screamed and sobbed that she wanted to drive.  She was so upset.


they also liked some of the big rides like the roller coaster


and this scrambler ride that made me a little sick. 

They also loved the Soak zone.

Our friends rented a cabanna which was really nice.


The water was cold but the kids still played there for a long time.

We got treats of giant cookies (for Amelia) and an ice cream cone for Hayden.  And a funnel cake for me.  We stopped to get potato patch fries on our way out but they were closed.  Ugh!


And lastly we got this awesome western picture of the cousins.  It will go nicely with our others.  
 

 We had a great time.  I wish it was a little closer. We would go more often if it was.
