Columbus Take 2

Soccer started last Monday so summer is pretty much over for this momma.  We did one last mini trip.  We went to Columbus Ohio with Mike for his business trip.  Not the most exiting place to be but the kids sure were excited.  Especially .Amelia.  She kept yelling "OHIO!!!".

The kids were awesome this trip.  We switched carseats for Amelia and she can sleep now since this one has more head support.Life saver!!

They love traveling with their little rolling suit cases.

hayden loves having his own big bed at hotels

Both kids love jumping on the beds.  They filled amelia's pack n play with blankets and pillows and would jump from the bed into it.

the kids loved swimming in the hotel pool.  Give them their inner tubes and they are set.

I wish they would have liked swimming when we were on our real vacation but sadly they did not for some reason.

We went swimming 3x this trip.

Nice face Hayden!!

On Thursday I took the kids to the zoo.  It said possible isolated thunderstorms on the weather channel.  It poured as soon as we got in and did not let up until a few hours.  It was like a monsoon.
I had to break down and buy the $3 ponchos for the kids.
Eventually it did  stop and was nice the rest of the day.

We spent a lot of time in the aquariums since it rained.  Both liked it.  Amelia freaked when a sting ray went by suctioned to the glass.  She wasn't ready for it.  Ha ha.

They hated the Penguin area because it smelled.

Amelia loved watching the baby chimp.

Hayden liked the snake area and even got touch one.

The kangaroos were out right on the path.

They even petted the goats.  Who's kids are these?
This was as close as Amelia would get.  Ha ha.

Hayden would brush them.

A scary story...
One night we went to the mall because it was raining and we wanted out of the hotel room.  The kids were playing at the playground and we lost sight of Amelia.  We did like 5 laps around the playground and couldn't find her.  We started to get scared.  Luckily we found her hiding in someones stroller with the shades all up.  She thought it was funny.  We did not.

We went to Hayden falls of course.

In Indian Run Falls.

We had ice cream at Graeters.  Yummy.

We stopped at this random statues of corn. Hayden wanted to go when we passed it earlier in our trip.  They loved running around here.

We went downtown and took  a tour of the Santa Maria replica.  It was long and hot and i can not believe the kids lasted the hour it took.  Our tour guide was super weird.

After we took the kids to play in the water area.  Hayden just absolutely loves these things.  His imagination goes wild and he runs crazy.  I love watching him.

Amelia is much more reserved and find the smallest amount of water shooting out and doesn't move

It was Latino day downtown so there was a balloon artist.  Hayden is doing his super hero pose.

.

Here is a city shot

On the way home we stopped at Cabella's to break up the trip.  I hate it there but Mike loves it.  Way too West Virginia for me. Hayden .seems to like it too

Now we are back home... working, running soccer practices and Hayden will be starting PRESCHOOL!!!!!!!
