We had a last minute family bonfire at our house this past weekend. We invited everyone over to make smores (or "some mores" as Mike annoyingly calls them) and just hang out. It was a definite success. The kids want to do another one this weekend.
The neighbors a few doors down had their huge (and I mean huge!) party on Saturday too. So we got to listen to their live bands and watch their fireworks. We may have to check out this party it is hundreds and hundreds of people!
The three little cousins enjoyed playing with each other. The glow sticks and sparklers were a hit with them. The adult men were into tending the fire and melting things. The teen boys liked melting the glow sticks. The pre-teen girls were taken to the "midget farm" by Eric and scared by their mom and Aunt Hillary.
