Happy Memorial Day

We were in Erie this weekend for a soccer tournament at the Family First Complex. We had great weather. We drove up Friday afternoon.
The weather was so nice we got to swim in the outdoor pool and it wasn't too cold.

My team won 1 game and lost 2 so that was disappointing. Hayden was such a good boy all weekend. During our games he impressed all of the mom and dads with his golf skills. They couldn't believe how good his coordination is for his age. He gets that all from me by the way!!! ;)

On Saturday our games were done pretty early so we had a lot of time to go to Presque Isle. The beach wasn't too crowded and the water was nice and cool. Hayden enjoyed digging in the sand and rocks. He even would put his feet in the water, so hopefully this is a good sign for upcoming trip to St.Petersburg next month. It was much better then our last trip to Presque Isle (exactly one year ago). A beach with a baby is not any fun at all. What a difference a year makes!

On Sunday the girls played their final game and we headed home. We made a pit stop at Grove City outlets for some shopping and our now traditional cookie at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (so yummy!)

Overall it was a great weekend. Hayden is at a fun age right now. He still is a lot of work though and I am pooped!

P.S. I posted a grilled corn on the cob recipe on my food blog. It would be great for Memorial Day Cookouts. (Click here )
