Utah Trip

We just returned from a 10 day trip out west to visit Mike's family.  We were in Utah.

The kids did awesome on the plane ride there.  Seriously.  They were angels.  It was almost scary.
We had one little mishap in the small airplane bathroom.  I had to change Amelia's poopy diaper and the contents spilled onto the floor.  Gross.  She thought it was hilarious.  Also a little funny story about her diaper... at our seats I smelled that she pooped.  I asked her if she pooped.  She stood up on her seat and yelled "No, I fart!"  really loud!

Amelia did not do well with the dog at Mike's parents house.  It is a tiny little dog that didn't bark or bother her.  But she screamed and trembled in its presence.  She never got over it.  One time playing in the basement she was spinning and fell down.  She was laying on her stomach.  When she looked up the dog was right in her face. Her reaction was insane!  You had to see it.

The kids loved being with their cousins.  Claire is Hayden's age but they were like night and day and didn't play much.  But Amelia and Claire got along great.  Hayden wanted to be with Nathan and the older cousins.  They were all very sweet and played with him and let him tag along.  And they all loved Amelia.

Hayden had a little mishap at the park and fell and smashed his face early in the week. He had a fat lip and a bad bloody nose.  His nose was swollen for a day and his lip for a few.  THen he was left with this blood blister.

We celebrated Savannah's birthday while there.  She turned 9.  It was also her mom's birthday while were there and we all had dinner.

We spent a few days in SLC and then headed to St. George for a few days.  Then we were back in SLC for a few more days.  We did a lot of hiking and I will post those pictures later. 

We went to eat several times, went to an amuesement park and had a dip party.  We also celebrated Carsons Birthday too.

The flight home the kids were very good again.  Amelia did pee thru her dress but that was probably my fault Hayden got hurt on the escalator when we got home and was not happy.  Both fell asleep in the car on the way home.  They were exhausted.

when we got home they were so excited and started playing with all of their toys like they never saw them.  Ha ha.

Adoption party

Before our vacation we went to an adoption  party for one of my friends from soccer. It was on a farm in Cranberry.  They had a 3 story slip n slide, a pool, volleyball, a bouncy house, and animals. 

The kids had fun.


Amelia loved the pool.  Which is funny now because she hated swimming on vacation.


Hayden loved it too.

He really liked chasing chickens.

Amelia hated the animals.  If the dog came near her she  would scream at the top of her lungs and shake.   Her screams stopped the partying!  Look at this picture when I showed her the horse!!!!

memorial day

We had a bbq for memorial day and everyone came over.  It was a little chilly but we were still able to be outside.  We had lots of good food and even made a fire. The kids had a BLAST.  They played hard all day and were filthy and exhausted by the evening.

Bad Week

Look at these cuties.  They look so sweet.  This past week they were monsters!  I was ready to give them away.  Lets hope for a better week :)

Ohiopyle

On a beautiful Saturday in may we went to ohiopyle with some friends.

First stop was cucumber falls. We saw the waterfall.


We even went behind it.

Then we walked to the "shore" and watched the rafters and kayakers go by.  Amelia loved the "boats". And Hayden wants to kayak next time


They also loved throwing rocks in the river.


Next we did the two mile hike (4 miles round trip) to Jonathan run falls. We took the jogging stroller and it helped tremendously.  Hayden walked most of the way there.


We saw the upper falls and had lunch.

We also did a creek walk and rock hop to the  lower falls. It was quite an adventure with 2 small kids but that was their favorite part of the whole trip. I guess they don't like boring trails!


Thank goodness for Keens.  These shoes rock!

We saw several small waterfalls also.  Hayden enjoyed peeing at one!


After our hikes we were starving so we ate in town. We had good food and yummy ice cream. I had sticky bun ice cream that was so good.

It was a great little trip.  We were there all day and the kids did great.
