Our next stop was San Juan, Puerto Rico.
I gave the kids the option of coming with us. I told them we would be walking to two forts. They both chose to stay on the ship and play at the kids club. Mikes parents were staying on board too so I was ok with leaving them behind.
We walked the short walk to El Morro. The streets were narrow and the buildings colorful. It was hot and humid out.
I liked the forts. The grounds and buildings were awesome. The rooms were all empty though. They had things to read and tell you what the room was. It would have been nice for them to recreate some of the actual things in the rooms.
A few of our family members went back to the ship and the rest of us headed to El Castillo.
This was the fort we saw from the ship. It was similar to the other fort.
After the forts we walked to the chocolate cafe. We got some churros and a drink. My sister in law got a chocolate grilled cheese. they loved it.
We also stopped at one of the old churches.
We picked the kids up something. hayden got a wooden sword/machete thing. Amelia got a necklace. Both were happy with our purchases.
When we got on the ship we stopped at the kids club to get them. Hayden was there but Amelia wasn't. They couldn't find her. Turns out Nana signed her out but they forgot to mark it down.
Kids were happy to see us and ready for the pool!
