Christmas

We have had super warm weather in December.  On Christmas Eve it was almost 70 degrees.  So we went on a little hike in our local park.

We hiked all the way to the waterfall.

We then had dinner at my sisters house.  The entire family made it for the first time in a long time.

We finally got to meet Sawyer.  She is a good little baby.  Hardly ever cried and liked everyone.

It was Lily's first Christmas too.  She slept a lot :)

The cousins had a blast playing together.  Here is a picture of all of the cousins.

And here is a picture of  the entire family.

Each kid got to take a turn and open their presents from Grandma Barb... a sack full.

Hayden was first and was very excited.

Hayden and John loved playing with their new light sabers

Amelia had to wait her turn and she was not happy.   She loved all of her presents.

We did a cousin grab bag.  Amelia was very excited to give Grayson her gift.  and Amelia was super excited to get her very own shopkins.  She has played with them every day.

Later in the evening we play beanboozled.  You spin the wheel and get a certain color jelly bean.  Each color could be a good flavor or a bad one.  (example peach or puke).  I made it thru two round and got good flavors.  Later i got moldy cheese and puke. so gross.  Here is a video:

The kids actually went to bed pretty easy that night.  They were tired.

Hayden was up before 6 am the next morning.  I made him wait a little bit and but by 6:30 we were opening presents.

First we opened stockings.

Mike opened his fit bit from me.  He is obsessed with it

The elf wrapped the doorways again.  ;)

Of course I made the kids get a picture first.  :)

The kids were very happy.  Amelia got her easy bake oven.

Hayden got the microscope he asked for and loved his huge pack of sharpies.

He opened his gifts with his back scratcher from his stocking

Both kids were excited for the nerf machine  guns.

Pap came over to visit later.  We had breakfast and gave him our gifts and the kids opened theirs.  They showed him everything they got for Christmas and it was nice out so hayden asked him to play baseball with him.

We later went to Aunt Patti's house for dinner.  We saw Grandma Erfort and the rest of the family.
It was nice out again so we got a picture before we left.

I love this picture of Amelia.  I wish I could crop out Haydens legs

The kids had a great Christmas and were definitely spoiled.  We tried something new this year.  I made a calendar for December and each day we had to do what it said.  Each date i wrote something nice to do for someone.  Sometimes it was donating things, others it was service.  Nothing too hard but hopefully the message got across.   I will try again next year and have some better ideas.
