For the 4th of July we went to Racoon State Park with some friends and family The weather didn't look to good. Luckily, it turned out to be a beautiful day.
The kids loved swimming. Hayden swam all day and didn't want to leave.
Amelia grabbed a tube and swam on her own most of the day. She had a blast.
They also played in the sand.
The boys grilled on the disposable charcoal grills.
The kids enjoyed their lunch of mainly chips!
Phil wanted to rent a boat so the boys got one and rowed down to us.
Then the kids took turns riding in it.
Hayden and Kennedy really enjoyed it.
Amelia hated it.
We stayed from 11 am to 4pm.
We got home and later were too tired to make dinner. The pizza place by us was closed so we ate at Eat N Park since kids eat for 99 cents.
Then we went to the Smith's house. We did some sparklers.
Poor Amelia got scared when a neighbor let off a firework rieht above us. None of us were expecting it so she was so upset.
We watched Scott Twp fireworks from the road. Hayden held his ears b/c the neighbors kept lighting big fireworks right above us so it was loud.
It was a great 4th of July so we weren't too upset to break our tradition of going to Kennywood. (we decided not too since we went to Lagoon and will be going to Idlewild in a few weeks)
