We took a 4 night trip to Columbus. Mike was there to work for 2 days and i had a soccer tournament to coach. The drive there was uneventful except Hayden having to poop when we were not near an exit.
Apparently stickers all over is good car entertainment.
We got there around lunch time and took Mike to work. We couldn't do an early check in to the hotel so I had to entertain them for a few hours. We played at the mall playground and visited Hayden Falls.
Later we went swimming. The pool was freezing. Hayden loved it because he cold swim by himself with a life vest. We accidently had him in Amelia's vest the first day.
The kids loved staying in the hotel and were very good.
We went hiking at hocking hills like we did last year.
We saw a lot of waterfalls.
The kids loved playing in the sand at Ash Cave falls.
We tried to have someone take a family picture with the waterfall but he missed the falls. Oops.
We hiked Conkles hollow.
and saw several waterfalls.
We got in the beautiful water at Old Mans Cave.
Funny story, we had a biker guy take a picture of us. He had a cut off shirt on. Hayden kept saying "that man has fat boobies". Over and over. Ugh.
It was 80 degrees the day we went hiking. The weekend for the tournament was very cold like high of 40 and 35 mph wids. I got wind burn.
The team did well and made it to the finals but lost pretty bad.
The final game was late so we left later then planned. Amelia fell asleep around 6pm. we stopped at the dairy queen and she was miserable for a half hour. The rest of the trip went well. Hayden entertained himself with my pillow case.
when we got home we all crashed. The kids even slept in past 8am the next day which is unheard of.
