Yes, Another Snow Post!

So 2 weeks ago when we got the crazy amount of snow, school was canceled for the entire week. So I didn't have to work. It was just me and Hayden at home all day. It was NOT fun. We both had cabin fever so bad. Hayden was miserable. One day he cried almost the entire day. I was going crazy. We are lucky we made it out alive. Hayden made it through the week with one black eye, a bump on the side of his head and one on the top of his head.

I learned that I could NEVER be a stay at home mom. It just is not for me and not in my personality. I love Hayden lots, but am a better mom if I get out and work or something else for awhile. So part time work is perfect for me. (Not to mention that I like my job and working with Adam...he needs me. I couldn't just walk away from that)

To top it off that week, Hayden decided to let me know that he can climb out of his crib. He climbed out and fell right on his head on the hard wood floor. The noise seriously is stuck in my head forever. I almost threw up after I calmed down. I sobbed and sobbed once I knew he was ok. I felt like such a bad mom. We had an awful week and this just summed it up. (We now have couch cushions around his crib and lowered it to the lowest setting). It was an awful week.

So anyways when I found out it was going to snow again I wasn't too excited. We spent the day home on Friday and we actually had a good day together. So that made me feel better. Hayden really is a great little boy, just gets bored easily like his momma! The only bad part of the day is when he peed on my chin, and then later ran to Mike's book and peed on it!

This week I decided we would go outside a little bit even if it was cold, boy did that help. Hayden has loved going outside. His snow suit and batman mask keep him so warm that he would stay out all day if i let him. He never whines or cries (except when he is inside and wants to go out to play).

So on Saturday we invited his cousins John and Kennedy to come sled riding. Uncle Ryan even came (but my pictures of Ryan were the ones that are missing) Hayden really enjoys the sled now. We all had a blast. Hayden was outside for about 2 hours! Since we were out longer we busted out the pink snow pants to keep Hayden extra warm!

The camera ate half of my pictures so I only have a few. It deleted some really good ones and I am sad about it. I hope I don't have to get a new camera. I can't go back to a point and shoot one, and the digital SLR's are not cheap. I don't want to invest in a new one.

Hayden doesn't look happy in the picture above. But that is b/c he wasn't getting to ride in the sled, just pose for pictures. That's no fun mom!

Megan's face is awesome in this one (and every other picture we took!)

That is about it for now. I hurt my knee really bad sled riding so I am going to go prop it up and possibly ice it. I am supposed to run a soccer practice tomorrow...

The picture of Hayden in the pink pants made us all laugh so hard, that is the only reason he is crying! Your sister in laws face is awesome in that one picture. When Nathan was a little younger than Hayden he fell down the stairs onto the hard wood, I cried and cried and felt so guilty, I know how you feel but all we can do is try our best and love our kids.

Brooke, you and I are so much alike it's not funny. I felt the same way about working. I thought I was a better mom when I came home because I looked forward to seeing Marques. We definitely have to talk one day.
