Things I have learned this week:
** Hayden is nothing like other babies his age. Its not necessarily a bad thing. We love him the way he is. But he is just so much more alert, mobile, curious, etc. (And usually bigger too!)
** Less sugar usually means it has splenda/aspartame. Nasty! I picked up some yogurts and applesauce for Hayden. Some were marked as having less sugar. I thought, Hey he doesn't need sugar and bought them. Get home and in tiny print it says it has splenda or aspartame. It is so annoying. It should say less real sugar, more fake sugar. Ugh! That was a waste of money.
** Hayden has an internal alarm clock set to 6:10 am. He gets up at that time every morning now, now matter what time we put him to bed. Usually he goes to bed around 8:15 pm. He has gone at 9:30 or later and still gets up at that time.
** In team sports, sometimes a team that gets along and has fun can achieve more then a team with just a bunch of individuals with skill. Actually I have known this for awhile but I was reminded of it again.
** I am not ready for soccer season. I have lots of work to do to get ready still. And I will be sad to be away from Hayden so much.
** I love watching the food network. But never make anything. I actually made a super easy meal that I saw the other day... Ravioli with balsalmic brown butter. (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/ravioli-with-balsamic-brown-butter-recipe/index.html). Very easy and good too. I didn't use walnuts though. So easy can still be yummy!
** I am too old to play 6 soccer games in one week. It definatly caught up to me on Thursday. Our over-23 team lost in the finals. Oh well, can't win them all (we sure came close!) I now have a sore back b/c I was blindsided by someone. Not much sleep last night.
** There are lot of crazy people out there. The LA fitness shooting right in our area is so sad. I did know one girl that was in the actual aerobic class, luckily she is ok.
Well that is all I have learned. Here are some pictures from Robot World at the Science Center. I went there for work this week. The boys enjoyed seeing R2D2 and CP30.
