1900 Park Fare

We had dinner at the grand Floridian hotel to eat with Cinderella and friends. It was a great time. The hotel is very pretty. We dressed Amelia in her Cinderella dress. She looked so cute.  But she would not let me get a good picture of her.

The food was a buffet but very good. We enjoyed things like prime rib, chicken Marsala, strawberry soup and more. Hayden and Amelia scarfed down plates of Mac n cheese of course. The characters were great.

 Prince charming came first.


 Even Grandma had to get a picture.

 Cinderella was next.

She even gave Hayden a kiss.


The evil stepmother came and made fun us as parents because Mike gave them a plate of gummy bears.


 And the stepsisters were fun too.


 It was a great meal that ended with a birthday cake for me and Quinn. We ate that cake all week!


If you have a little girl this is a great place to go to see Cinderella if you can't get a castle reservation and it is the only place to meet Prince Charming.  Here are the rest of the pictures:



 

Animal Kingdom

 We were at animal kingdom for opening time and headed straight for the safari ride. We saw tons of animals...giraffes, lions, hippos, crocodiles, rhinos, elephants, and tons more.  It was probably the most animals I have seen on this ride. 

 Amelia loved the bumpy ride and was clapping. A rhino even started to come at our car and we had to speed up And move out of the way. It followed us a bit.  That was a little scary!


We also walked thru the jungle trek and saw tigers, fish, gorillas, and monkeys.  Hayden loves looking at fish.


We met mickey and his friends at his camp area.  I made Hayden an autograph book to help him warm up to the characters.  It worked (sort of).  i


Minnie mouse surprised grandma who was sitting and waiting for us. 



Quinn joined us later at lunch time. We took Hayden on the dinosaur ride but he didn't like it. It is pretty scary. He also rode the triceratops spinner and saw its tough to be a bug in 3D. Afterwards he and amelia loved digging for dinosaur bones and would have happily stayed there all day. But we had a dinner reservation to get to. That is a whole other post.


Hayden also enjoyed playing in the water area.  It was over 90 degrees so who can blame him.  I think we were all secretly a little jealous.  His face in all of the water pictures is pure joy.

Magic Kingdom Day 1

Our first day we were all up early and we headed to the Magic Kingdom park. Hayden had an early barbershop appointment so we got in the park early. We explored a little. It is nice to be in the park when hardly anyone is in it. we got some pictures with the castle.


I also got Amelia's caricature done. Rapunzel is super popular now and as soon as the park opens her line is over an hour long. So I just went over a few minutes before opening and was third in line.

The lighting here was terrible.  It is the worst spot for photos. I tried to put long hair on Amelia to see Rapunzel but she did not let me.

Hayden got his hair blue and was made into a knight.  He looked so cute. 

 

 He doesn't look happy during the process but he liked it.

Afterwards we headed to fantasyland and rode a bunch of rides. We rode snow white, dumbo, the merry go round, Peter pan, the tea cups, buzz light year, the people mover, haunted mansion, etc..We got 4 extra fast passes at the airport so we were able to ride a bunch of rides in the morning when there was no wait and when it got busy we used our fast passes.


Hayden loved Peter Pan and Buzz light year best.  Amelia also liked buzz light year...


We also watched the move it shake it parade. We met some fun characters like buzz light year

Hayden got his guns that he wanted too.  The big one had to be shipped home b/c it didn't fit in our suitcase.



We left the park mid afternoon when it was hot and we were satisfied that we got a lot done.
