For the love of stuffed animals

Hayden loves to sleep with a thousand different things at night. He would take every blanket and stuffed animal if I let him. We have narrowed it down to the above. Well actually we lost that Mickey at Trader Jacks. Hayden asked for it every day since. Then would sadly say "Mickey bye, bye". So we bought a new one. All his stuffed animals have to be laid out and then tucked in under the covers. It is a process.

The weather is getting cooler now so of course I am sick. Hayden had an ear infection but is doing better. We made some yummy chicken chili that even Hayden kept asking for more. It is creamier then my usual recipe but good. Check it out at our recipe site... chili recipe

Let's see who actually reads our blog...

Well I guess its time to let everyone know our news... (see hayden's shirt). By the way isn't he just too cute!

Hayden's brother or sister will be joining us in March. We will be finding out if the baby is a boy or girl in October (soon!) I am over 3 1/2 months along.

If you ask Hayden where the baby is he will touch my stomach. He will give my stomach hugs and kisses too. He loves babies but isn't always the most gentle boy. He tries though. So this should be fun.

The girls on the team figured it out today. It is funny b/c I weigh less right now then I did before I was even pregnant with Hayden. All my pants fit just fine, but I guess i have a little belly that shows. So I am sure some of you already figured it out. I was waiting until after this last dr appt.

This pregnancy has been much different then my pregnancy with Hayden. I have been sick every day since the beginning. Of course I am super busy. I have sucked it up and haven't missed any work or soccer. But is has been rough. I have bloody noses again everyday. I am trying to exercise but its hard to squeeze it in my schedule. I manage to run a mile or two a few times a week. But I am just exhausted all of the time

I played in two soccer tournaments while pregnant and sick (I had signed up for them before I knew). We won both championships and I was sick the entire time. I don't know how I did it. I knew I wouldn't be playing for a while so I made it my last hurrah. ;)

So this is our official announcement. I guess we will see who reads this site!

Busy busy busy

It is busy as usual here. It is non stop. I wake up and get Hayden ready and we are out the door pretty quickly. He goes to Aunt Renee's and thankfully he loves it there. And I head out to work with 2 clients.

On slower days I just go to high school practice and I am home by 5. Other days its game day and who knows what time I will get home. Or on some days I go to high school practice, swing by and get Hayden and we go to my younger girls team practice at Moon Park.

Thankfully it is the weekend and I can semi relax. Just a game on Saturday and only practice and possibly a few hours of work on Sunday. :)

In other news... Hayden chipped his tooth. Not sure when or where. It is a pretty tiny chip. He also is sick. He has an ear infection right now. And I am pretty sure he has allergies, although doctors tell you he is too young.

Also I just got finished making a free photo book at picaboo.com. Just put in this code before you check out and it will credit you 39.99. 1FBLGB-&W. So all you pay is shipping. I made on for Hayden's birthday since he loves looking at pictures. I may make another...

Soccer Team

Here are some pictures of this years team. We have had a tough schedule so far but the girls are improving each game. We are ranked 3rd in the WPIAL in the Trib and 5th in the WPIAL in the Post Gazette. We still have a lot of work but I am happy with how things are going.

By the way I don't pose them. I let them do it themselves...hence some stupid looking group shots.

Labor Day Festivities

(hayden with no nap!)

We had the family over for labor day. We decided to have Family Olympics. Everyone had a partner and competed in different events.

The teams:

The Runner-Ups:

The Winners:

And the kiddos (showing off their sweatbands):

The Events:

We had a balloon toss, a golf competition, baggo, the ladder game, basketball, and soccer. Next year everyone can be in charge of an event. So get ready if you want to come compete.

The Food:

We had lots of food. We had chicken tacos, pasta salad, taco salad, deviled eggs, and the always popular buffalo chicken dip. For dessert we had 2 different crock pot cakes. Check my recipe site out here b/c I will put some of the recipes up this week.

And here is what Hayden looks like after a long hard day of playing with his cousins:

About us...

1st about Hayden...

calling mike by his first name.

watching thomas and star wars.

loves looking at pictures of himself, makes me happy that he loves his scrapbooks.

repeating lots of new words... my new favorites are waterfall, motorcycle, and when he says cock a doodle doo from one of his books

if you ask him where people are he will tell you that they are bye byes. Except me, Bailey and Grayson, we are "bye, bye ball". B/c we are at soccer. And Ricky is at School.

enjoying his sandbox, naked of course

playing with trains and his bowling set (but he kicks the ball instead of rolling it)

loves to have his ears cleaned

loves to sleep with tons of things: blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, whatever

enjoys "working" in the garage with mike.

Calls Ricky "Ducky" I think its cute.

Hates if I am dirty. We mulched outside and he would cry and point at my knees b/c they had dirt on them.

Brooke:

Started soccer season. The team did well at the first scrimmage. We also had a car wash and raised $1800. I may need to do this as a side job!!!!

Finished playing soccer for the summer. Both of my teams won their championships!!!!

Transitioned Adam to 1st grade. I now have a new case for work. I will be at Quaker Valley still but in the pre-school room.

Mike:

Still working hard and traveling to Cleveland a lot.

Won a golf outing with my brother in August.

Cleaned out the entire garage and even power washed it.

Us:

Finished the side of the house

Sold lot of old things at Trader Jacks. We made about $200.

Thinking of rearranging our rooms.

My little handful

Doesn't he look so sweet with baby Ella. Don't let that fool you! He is definitely a mischievous little boy.

Hayden has been bullying the 3 year old my sister watches (they are almost the same size). Hayden will chase him, grab him by the shirt and pull him back to him. Then he will bear hug him from behind and squeeze him, pick him up and body slam him down to the ground. I am not sure where he learned this! Its not like we watch WWE.

I was busy making dinner one day and found Hayden sitting and reading on the third shelf of his bookshelf in his room.

He calls "Mike" from the top of the stairs like I do. Oops!

Loves watching star wars before he goes to bed. I think it taught him what a gun was because he found a play one at my sisters and said boom and shot me :(

Mike tried to get him to watch thomas one night instead of Star Wars. He got all mad, went the to dvd player, hit eject, threw the dvd across the room, and pointed to star wars!

He loves to torture Aiden. Aiden loves his waterbottles. So Hayden goes over looks at Aiden and then touches them just to make him cry.

He can open the fridge. I put a fridge child proof lock on it. But he broke it the first day. He is constantly going in it and getting yogurt or the eggs.

Dumps water bottles constantly.

Dumped an entire size costco bag of m&m's on my moms floor

He knows he is cute and tries to get out of getting in trouble by flashing a big grin and doing this wiggle dance.

He laughs if you yell at him or come to stop him from doing something.

Still enjoys peeing on things. I have gotten him to pee in the potty many times but peeing on the floor, couch, is much more fun. He will open a closet and try to pee in it.

He took his diaper off one day and pooped on the train table.

He is constantly saying more. But he says it with this funny accent that my sister says sounds like he is from the old south on a plantation.

Every morning he dumps his cereal on the table. Every morning I watch and wait for it b/c I know it is going to happen. And every morning I am too slow.
