Pre-Halloween Activities

We have done some fun Halloween things lately. Hayde has enjoyed getting the pumpkins ready. His yoda and woody pumpkins turned out great. Thanks Grandma Barb. We also had fun carving R2D2 in the pumpkin. Hayden even helped me make pumpkin seeds.

We went to the trail one night for their pumpkin walk. Hayden wore his jedi costume. His lightsaber definitely came in handy. It was so dark. He enjoyed seeing all of the kids in their costumes and the different lighted pumpkins. If you ask him his favorite part was getting popcorn.

Hayden is very excited to go trick or treating this year. He has been saying "trick or treat, smell my feet give me something good to eat". Hopefully he will just be polite when we actually go. He loves dressing up in all of his costumes. I am not sure which one he will actually wear trick or treating. We are going to a parade this weekend so he can wear one there too.

7 months update

Just an update to last post. Amelia went to dr. She is 28.5 in long. She weighs 18 lbs. her head is 42.5 cm
So height is 98 th percentile. Weight is 71 st and head is 31 st. Not sure where the tiny head comes from!

She is also pulling herself to a standing position using shelves, chairs, crib, etc. ugh! We had to Lower her crib because she was standing up in it.

7 months old

Amelia at 7 months:

Likes to "talk to us". We can go back and forth for 10 minutes sometimes.

Sleeps the night or wakes up around 4 or 5 for a quick bottle then right back to bed. Her bed time is 7 or before.

Getting some hair. It is dark.

Wears 9 mo or 12 mo clothing

Feet are too big for some footsie pj's

crawls around all day. She looks like she is doing the centipede.

can pull herself up to a almost standing position on toys and low shelves. She tries inn her crib but can't quite do it yet. Thankfully

Likes to play with strings, books, light sabers cheerios, pretty much anything she can get her hands on.

Likes to jump when you have her on your lap

always has a runny nose. she sticks her tongue up abonve her lip and suck her snots. we constantly tell her "don't eat your boogs"

pooped in the tub the other day. hayden has ever done that yet

Pumpkin Patch

It was so nice this weekend (almost 80) that we decided to head to the pumpkin patch. We knew it would probably be busy, but you never know if we will have another nice weekend.

Hayden picked out a nice small pumpkin. He loved the tractor of course and wandering off on his own. Amelia liked sucking on the free apples (which were delicious) and looking around and touching everything.

Amelia is getting more and more like Hayden. She got up before 11:30 am and we headed to the pumpkin patch in Wexford (20+ minutes away all highway driving). We stayed until 2:30 almost fed her and left. She did not even come close to falling asleep on the way home. She just kept leaning and looking around and talking. She played hard at my moms house until 4:30. Then got a little cranky. Took a bottle dozed off for 2 minutes and that was it. She was up again. So she was up from 11:30 to 6:30 when we put her to bed. My kids just don't care to sleep!

Wildwood

A few weeks ago we went to Mike's work picnic at Wildwood. They had bumper boats, go carts, merry go round, trains, etc Hayden had a blast. He also got to play laser tag so he was super happy. On the merry go round Hayden held Amelia's hand. What a nice big brother. We are sad that summer is over, but Hayden is very excited for fall. He cant wait to go to the pumpkin patch, go trick or treating, ride an airplane and have it be his birthday.
