5 months old

Amelia's 5 Month Facts:
eating solids. Seems to enjoy everything she has tried so far.
Only drinks bottles now. She gets breast milk and formula.
Rolls around both ways.
Can sit up on her own for a few seconds.
Is a crazy sleeper. She rolls around constantly and was getting stuck in her crib.
We had to buy a breathable bumper. So obviously she isn't wrapped anymore. She seems to like to sleep on her belly
Sleeps about 7 hours in a row at night. Eats then goes back to sleep.
Still bald. She has some dark hair coming in.
Loves to hold things.
Starting to drool
Has such pretty blue eyes.
Has chunky legs and a big butt.
Loves to watch Hayden dance or jump. She cracks up.
Likes books.
Tolerates baths but doesn't really enjoy them.
Gets so excited when one of us comes to get her from her crib. She smiles and kicks.
Looks a lot like mom and Hayden.
In 6-9 month clothes or 6 months.
Has strong legs. She flexes them and you can't budge them!
Does this sniffing sounds when she is mad
likes to be dragged around on blankets or hayden's little couch
likes to spit and blow bubbles
loves looking at herself in the mirror
eats her shirt
likes stuffed animals rattles, etc
doesn't use a pacifier anymore
loves to lay on the bathroom rug and pull at the shower curtain

Brady's Baptism

Some pictures. I am just too busy to write right now. Soccer season started and the kids knew I had to get up at 6am. So Amelia woke up a few times and poor Hayden fell out of bed head first at 5 am. We had 2 practices in the pouring rain (much better then 90 degree temp) and I am exhausted. 40 teenage girls tire me out!

Summer Fun

The weather has been nice here. We have gone to the park, the wave pool, played outside, etc. Amelia and Hayden love the swings. Hayden got to pee outside for the first time. :) Both kids also enjoyed the wave pool. Soccer starts in one week and summer time fun is coming to an end :(

1st Solids

Amelia got her first solids (rice cereal) on Tuesday Aug 2nd. She is still not sure how she feels about it. Hayden wanted to get in on the action of feeding her and taking pictures. She likes oatmeal much better.

Potty Training

Potty training is going well. Hayden only wears underwear during the day. No more diapers. He wears a pull up to go to bed but it has been dry all week in the morning. He got this talking storm trooper mask (that I found for under $10)as a reward. He was so excited. Of course after we gave it to him he pooped his pants. But he has been good all week so far. (fingers crossed).

We also had our first porta potty experience which Hayden enjoyed way too much. Of course he had to strip down to go pee. It was not fun.

My not so little girl

This not so little girl had her 4 month check up. She is 27 inches long (95th percentile). She was 15.5 lbs (75th percentile) and her head was in the 50th percentile.

She is still our super happy baby. She would be the perfect baby if she would sleep at night, which she stopped doing a month and a half ago. She gets up 2-3x a night right now :(
