2 Months old

Amelia is 2 months old

She is 24 in long (90 percentile)
She is 12 lb 4 oz (90 percentile)
and her head is in the 50th percentile (not sure how that happened)

The dr says she has reflux, so that explains her non stop puking. It doesn't seem to bother her though. She is a happy, smiley, chatty baby.

She seems to have a neck issue that may need physical therapy. We will find out at her 4 month check up. Her neck is actually really strong she just won't turn it to the left.

She is starting to like her mobile but it doesn't make her go to sleep.
She usually sleeps about 8 hours straight a night but sometimes its hard to get her to go down. She fights it.

She likes a pacifier during the day and usually naps with it in her bouncy chair.

She doesn't like formula.

Everyone says she looks more and more like Hayden now. Just a smaller head :)

Today

So far today I have:

Woke up at 5 am to feed Amelia (she slept 8 hours )
Put laundry away
Made Hayden and myself breakfast
Put dishes away
Loaded the dishwasher
Cleaned amelia's floor. It has puke on it from midnight feedings
fed Amelia about 5-6 times
Did a load of laundry
Stain sticked amelia's clothes b/c she had a blow out
Gave Amelia a bath b/c of the blowout
Got Hayden to pee on the potty 4x
Got Hayden to poop on the potty
Played cars with Hayden
Made lunch for Hayden and myself
Cleaned the food closet
Played kitchen with hayden
Prepared dinner
Changed Amelia again b/c she puked all over self several times
Put more clothes away
Went to my chiropractor appt
Pumped some milk for a bottle for when I went to my appt
Played catch with hayden
Taught Hayden a new song (the wheels on the bus)
watched Max and Ruby with Hayden
Took a shower
Got Hayden off the dishwasher and sink
PUt clothes away that Hayden and Amelia have outgrown to go in the attic
Called my mom on the phone
Put Hayden in time out 3x
Read a book to both kids
Hid toys from hayden (his vacuum, hockey sticks, etc)
RSVP'd for a party
Cleaned the basement
Organized the diaper bag

And the day is still not over yet...

Fossil Rock

Awhile back we went to fossil rock with some friends. We found a few fossils. It was nice to leave the house finally. This was before I had the really bad pain...

quick update

This will be posts with just random info b/c I am limited on time. I am using Mike's computer b/c mine died. And I hate the Ipad. Esp. for updating the blog. I will do a post just full of pictures next.

I am finally starting to feel a little bit better. I got an MRI. I have a herniated disc. A shard is sitting on my nerve causing my pain. I am to wait a month and see how I feel. We want to avoid surgery if possible. But I am still limited to what I can do. My foot still is numb so that really makes it hard to do anything and my muscles are all sore. My feet hurt. I had them scanned and will probably have to buy expensive custom made orthotics.

Amelia is getting so big. She is a happy baby. Always smiling and talking. It's so cute.

My soccer team had a party so they could meet her. She slept the entire time.

Nana is visiting and Amelia loves the attention...Hayden not so much. He is in this wimpy, clingy stage right now.

Hayden counted to 13 the other day. Now he can't count to 3 today. He is so weird!
He is still being difficult. I am hoping he just wants attention and that it will soon pass.

Mike is traveling for work. Its annoying. The last time he went away both kids woke up at the same time in the middle of the night. It sucked.

Trouble

Haydwashes been a bit of a terror lately. He hit Kennedy in the face with two toys on Sunday. then when it was time for Kennedy to go home she could not find her other boot. We looked around for awhile then I randomly asked hayden if he knew where it was. He looked at me and just casually with no emotion told me it was in the garbage. then he resumed playing. Sure enough it was in the garbage can!

We were also told that he was "aggressive" in the nursery with other kids. There is usually one kid in there who makes every kid cry. Well Hayden made that kid cry 3x.

This weekend he was cuddling and kissing Amelia and for no reason he bit her fingers. He left teeth marks. He better watch out because she barely wimpered. She is one tough cookie!

One Month

Amelia at one month:

is a pretty good sleeper
pukes all of the time (sometimes projectile)b/c she eats in just a few minutes
Has a red blotchy face due to my steroids. :(
loves baths
smiling and cooing more
doesn't like to sleep in car seat for long
taking more short cat naps
LOVES her big brother
has the worst smelling farts. We keep thinking she pooped but nothing is there.
She never poops 1x a day at most. She can go 2 days without going.
Still uses the pacifier but not as much.
Likes being outside lately.

I feel bad b/c I can't always give her my attention due to the pain. Its really hard to feed her or get down to her level in her chair or when she is laying. I can't cuddle with her on the couch like Mike does either. :(

A funny story... we were changing her b/c after 2 days she finally pooped. We thought she was finished. Well all of the sudden she decided to go again. It squirted across her changing table all over me and the wall. IT was so gross. I wasn't even standing that close to the table so it went several feet! I will leave you with that image.
