Solids

Hayden is enjoying eating his new baby food. We have only done cereal and veggies so far. He seems to like them all. They are definately helping and Hayden is officially back to sleeping thru the night now that his tummy is full.

(Hayden's 1st reaction to trying veggies)

(yummy)

Hayden also has the annoying habit of either grabbing the spoon or putting his fingers in his mouth when he eats. Then he proceeds to rub them all over his legs. So a bib is not much help. He will be eating pantless from now on.

Getting Ready for Easter

Here are some funny Easter pics I took of Hayden. It is getting harder to take these by myself b/c the boy won't sit still. I love his face in the last one!

Easter Bunny

A busy weekend (warning lots of pics!)

We had a busy weekend.

On Sunday we went to Phipps Conservatory with Mike's boss and his wife. Hayden loved it. There were so many colors for him to look at. He enjoyed it so much he willingly missed a meal and a nap.

He was very popular there. People kept stopping and talking to him. And a Japanese couple asked to take his picture (weird!).

Afterwards we had dinner at grandma's.

On Saturday I took Hayden shopping with me in the morning since my game was cancelled. Mike was still not feeling well so that afternoon he came to work with me. He had fun playing with Jacob and Adam, but especially Josh.

Then we went to Cousin Josh's birthday party. Where mommy got to have yummy Kribel's cake.

Hayden is sleeping thru the night again. I went to CVS to be seen by their dr. I needed something for my cough so I can sleep. I specifically told them I was breastfeeding. So I got a prescription and headed home excited to finally be able to sleep! Well right on the bottle is a sticker that says do not take if breastfeeding. I was pissed! So I looked up some home remedies and tried a spoonful of honey with a pinch of white pepper on it. Gross, but it seemed to work.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

The Good: Hayden slept the entire night again!

The Bad: Mike has Bronchitis. I still have a cough I need checked out. So no sleep again last night. :(

The Ugly: How I am looking after 3 days with no sleep!

One Rough Night!

So we had a rough night last night. The day started off well. Hayden was pleasant and we went to see the Easter bunny (I will scan picture later). He tried oatmeal cereal for the first time and loved it. Then bed time came...

He started coughing. The same cough that both Mike and I have. The cough that only comes out at night...very annoying. Well he really started choking/gagging. So we went to check on him and his crib was full of vomit. Not breastmilk vomit. Real throw up. It smelled. I held him and he projectile puked several more times soaking me. Poor baby. But he never cried. He just layed in my arms and eventually went back to sleep.

So we called the dr and had to check on him thru the night to make sure he didn't puke when he coughed. I was up most of the night coughing myself. Around 4:00 Hayden woke up. He was hungry. The dr. said to only feed him an ounce and wait and see if he could hold it down. He was not happy. Eventually we were able to feed him a little more and he went back to bed.

So Mike and I both were almost asleep and he got a call from work! Ugh. Hayden slept until about 7:30. He woke up extremely pleasant. I am on my 3rd day of no sleep. It is not fun.

We are keeping him hydrated and just watching him. It appears that he coughed up most of the mucous that was inside. It stinks that there is nothing i can do for him to make him feel better. Stupid cold!

Here is a picture of him before we went to see the Easter bunny. He looks so big!

Independent

This boy is stubborn. He gets mad if you try to help sit up. He wants to do it himself. He just started food this week and already wants to do it himself. He pulls my hands to his mouth.

And he was really trying to crawl yesterday. He scooted (well threw his body forward) a tiny bit.
